Katerina Kollectibles is proud to be auctioning this pristine and very rare Haviland & Company (Limoges, France) Scalloped Sauce Tureen. This beautiful piece features 22K gold trim with undertones of light, mint green and Pink Floral arrangements. Also featured are small gold finial fishes decorated on the topside of the underplate. Both the Lid & Attached Underplate are included in this offering.

With Victorian stylistic patterns, the 22K Gold encrusted/decorated Bow Finial is representative of similar pieces produced and decorated in France by Haviland prior to U. Import in the late 19th Century. The rarity of this piece is evident as no pattern has been designated for this by Schleiger in any of her or families numerous works on the subject that we can find, nor are there any catalogued information on replacements for this pattern. The green mint and 24K gold trim make this an attractive collection showpiece as well. The object is in pristine, antique condition.

Underplate is attached and in excellent condition as well. Please see photos for condition accuracy. This tureen was a family cabinet piece for over a century, from a smoke-free estate.
Measurements: 9" (L) x 6" (W) x 5.5" (H), 2.5" Depth to tureen, with dimensions 6" (L) x 4.74 (W), Lid is approximately 6.5" (L) x 5.5 (W).
