DISC: An outstanding East Coast First Press, with super sound and a flawless label. SLEEVE: Nice but for a small price tag on the A-side, and a tear in the center of the sleeve. ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE/BABY YOURE A RICH MAN CAPITOL 5964.
DISC: This is an early East Coast pressing, Later pressings had a comma in the B-Side title. The label is, too, with just a hint of ringwear. SLEEVE: Strong and clean, with no writing, no splits, no holes.
Just a very few microtears at the top from putting the disc in and out. AND I LOVE HER/IF I FELL CAPITOL 5235. DISC: A dandy East Coast First Press, with the Unart publishing credit that was later removed. Very nice sound for its age. SLEEVE: The A-side has price tag residue. Very good sound, with some normal fuzz in the intro and ending. Theres no marks, labels or stickers on the label, but some minor ringwear to be expected on one of their first singles. EIGHT DAYS A WEEK/ I DONT WANT TO SPOIL THE PARTY CAPITOL 5371. DISC: Another East Coast First Press, and this ones sensational!
DISC: Just a wee bit of ringwear keeps this disc from being perfect. The sound is as clean as they come. SLEEVE: A terrific sleeve, free from tears, writing, marks, stickers. DISC: Not a flaw to be seenor heard. SLEEVE: On the B-side theres a number written in the s of Beatles, which youd have to know about to see. And a couple of tiny holes, probably from a stapler from long ago. Otherwise, a strong sleeve, indeed. I FEEL FINE/SHES A WOMAN CAPITOL 5327.
I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND/I SAW HER STANDING THERE CAPITOL 5112. DISC: The Hofer credit on Side B indicates a First Pressing. The audio quality is like you just brought it home from the record store in 1964!
DISC: The sound on this one is, in a word, awesome! Some small initials and a number on the label dont take away from the effect. SLEEVE: A fine copy of one of the more popularand scarceswirl sleeves. Only a small name on both sides, along with a small price sticker on Side-A, is what separates it from perfection. LADY MADONNA/ THE INNER LIGHT CAPITOL 2138. DISC: This disc appearsand soundslike it was never played! From the markings in the dead wax, this appears to be a West Coast pressing. The label has the running times of both songs, indicating it is a later issue; the earlier ones were printed too soon to include the running times. SLEEVE: The sleeve is ragged on one side, although not spilt.
The new owner can possibly clean it up with a touch of glue. DISC: Very minor ringwear and a small name on the A-side are the only minuses here.
The sound quality has some age-appropriate noise that can usually be filtered out or to a bare minimum. SLEEVE: One of the most sought-after Beatles sleeves, this ones a beauty! Theres just some small price sticker residue on the flip side. Note how the sleeve has Match Box as two words, and the record label has it as one.
NOWHERE MAN/ WHAT GOES ON CAPITOL 5587. DISC: Definitely superior sound and appearance on both sides!
This early East Coast pressing does not include writing credit to Ringo for What Goes On. Later pressings corrected that mistake. SLEEVE: One of the best sleeves in this package, its mark-free, and strong like it just came off the presses. PAPERBACK WRITER/ RAIN CAPITOL 5651. DISC: This West Coast pressing would be absolutely perfect if a previous owner hadnt written a number on the B-side.
A very strong sleeve except for a couple of scrapes on the groups name. PENNY LANE/ STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER CAPITOL 5810. DISC: This is an early pressing with the running time shown for Penny Lane of 3:00. Subsequent (and rarer) pressings had the corrected time of 2:57. SLEEVE: This sleeve has some wrinkles, scuffs and a small tear at the top.
SLEEVE: With the small price sticker on the B-side still on, it looks like you just came home from Lincoln Drug with itits that good! If youve read this far, youll really enjoy whats next. THATS 25 RECORDS AND 18 FABULOUS CAPITOL SLEEVES.
